Mumbai-born artist Ash Lune has today dropped her exceptional new single and video, ‘Sugarcoat’. It’s a bouncy pop tune that lets her lean into some playful, twinkling beats that wander in a slightly experimental direction. Of course, her voice is the star of the show; it’s tender, melodic and emotive throughout. “‘Sugarcoat’ shows a side of me that not many people know exists, which is cool,” she explains. “I wrote this song with Sam de Jong over Zoom, and I was so nervous because I was already a fan of his work and it was overwhelming that he wanted to have a session with me. ‘Sugarcoat’ started off as one song and ended as a whole other song.
